Lately we've been talking lot about safety here at Horse Sense, horses are large heavy animals who react first and think later, that can be dangerous. Research has shown that a large majority of horse related accidents could have been avoided with equestrians often saying that the accident was their own fault. In an effort to help reduce such accidents we've started a new feature called Horse Safety where we will offer regular tips to help keep you safe around horses, tips like:
Always wear suitable footwear when riding or working with horses
How to avoid being bitten by horseflies
and much more.
Comments can be left and we're hoping that readers (that's you please) will add their own safety tips and talk about their own experiences to help make Horse Safety a really good resource for everyone involved with horses.
