Gestion Bonfire, Anky van Grunsven's legendary Oldenburg gelding was sadly put to sleep as a result of complications from equine Cushing’s disease and laminitis on Monday. In this video from last year Anky talks about the care of Bonfire during his retirement:
Her love for the horse is so obvious.

We've looked at vintage sweaters with horse designs before, but we kinda like the pattern on this one too:
Made in Canada in the 1980's don't you think that this design would look great as a fabric? A cushion maybe, or what about a wing back armchair upholstered in vintage black running horses.
Anyways this aweater is available to purchase from HappyCabbageThrift

There have been lots of calls to ban the New York horse carriages on a number of grounds eg. cruelty and danger. But one New York mayorial candidate, Joe Lhota, would like to shut down the $15 million tourist attraction due to the smell:
“The smell that they drop there is unfortunate,” he said in a radio interview, “The smell on Central Park South is also unfortunate.”
